The Fundamentals of Export Market Research
This module helps companies gain an awareness of the need to be export-ready and what this means in practice, such as having a certain mind-set before embarking on any export venture. It assists enterprises in identifying the key considerations involved in product readiness, including the need to adapt products for new markets, packaging and labelling requirements, as well as the need to consider production capacity. The module also explains how to determine the different areas for which resources (time, financial and human) will be required in preparing and executing an export plan, how to identify the different skills that will be needed to start exporting, and how determine where to obtain these. By the end of this module, the trainees will be able to do an export readiness assessment for their company and determine their strengths and weaknesses in terms of becoming an exporter.
